How We Coach

Have you ever wondered why supporting people in change processes is not easy?  Neuroscience has been gaining increasing attention in recent years and is providing soem real clues about why change is so difficult based on greater understanding of how our brains work.  Recent advances in understanding how our brains work can improve how you lead change, manage staff or work with others.  This understanding (referred to as NeuroLeadership) is revolutionising how leaders lead.

NeuroLeadership has important implications for how we:

support people making decisions

address problems

collaborate with and influence others

remain cool under pressure

facilitate change

As part of our coaching offerings, clients are introduced to insights from recent international NeuroLeadership summits and to models and ideas which improve how you give feedback, cut your meeting times in half and develop greater insight about how you can support sustainable change across the various contexts of your life.

Our coaches are undertaking post graduate studies to specialise in this field through Middlesex University.  If you would like further information, please contact us.

How does coaching work?

Coaching a focused conversation that creates clarity and awareness and moves a person into action.

The coach and the client(s) meet in person, or have conversations regularly, i.e. once or twice a month,  for 12 sessions.

The typical coaching process:

Establishing the current reality of the person and situations they are facing. What's going on now? What's working? What's not?

Defining specific goals to be reached within the coaching contract period (typically 6 - 12 months).

Developing strategies and actions to achieve goals which includes clarification of areas of development and identification of internal and external barriers.

Closing the gap between the current and desired reality, monitoring and ensuring forward moving actions.

Review and feedback of progress. Support structures for sustained behaviour modification.

During the sessions the coach will listen, ask questions, provide insights and fresh perspectives, give honest and effective feedback, insist on forwarding action and setting of stretch goals, keep the client focused and intervene when non-helpful behaviours, limiting thoughts or procrastination appear.

The Accelerated Excellence coaching program

Complimentary Coaching session

Prior to commencing a coaching program, Accelerated Excellence offers you the opportunity to meet with one of our coaches for a complimentary coaching session. The objectives of this session are to enable our clients to learn more about the process of coaching, meet your coach, and more specifically, to work together with a coach in identifying three inspiring and powerful goals - goals that will support you to live the life you long for and deserve.

This obligation-free experience enables you to make an informed decision about whether coaching is right for you.

The coaching program

A coaching program consists of 12 x one hour sessions conducted either face-to-face or over the telephone/skype. Depending on the frequency of your sessions, you may meet with your coach once or twice a month (over a period of six to twelve months).

The coaching program includes unlimited email support, additional resources and assessments as appropriate, and impromptu "Check-in" calls (generally limited to 10 minutes unless otherwise agreed to).

As certified coaches with extensive industry experience, we guarantee all of our services.

What comes next?

Client success doesn't end when the coaching ends - the self-awareness, insights, and ongoing change strategies and structures developed during your coaching series will stand you in good stead moving forward.

Upon completion of a full coaching series, follow-up or 'power' coaching sessions are available on an ‘as needs’ basis to provide ongoing motivation, support and accountability.

Our coaches also love to receive emails from past clients, sharing achievements, success stories, or just to say G’Day!

Qualifications

All of our coaches have successfully completed internationally-recognised coach certification trainings with Results Coaching Systems, and are completing post graduate studies in the Neuroscience of Leadership through Middlesex University. We are all active senior members of the International Coaching Federation and various other international coaching associations.
