After running family businesses and enjoying successful careers in banking and finance, I joined BHP in 1989 working strategically in human resources and training & development in Melbourne and Queensland. After training with Results Life Coaching I started my own coaching practice, realising a life-long vision and capitalising on more than 12 years of training in personal effectiveness skills.

I am an experienced Certified Performance Coach, Trainer, Mentor, Competency Assessor and member of the International Coaching Federation. My expertise is in professional and personal development, specifically in the area of accelerated leadership development, and the mastery of strategic communication skills. I have an insightful, practical & inspirational approach to coaching. My sense of humour, energy and ability to motivate/support is reflected in the explicit outcomes my clients achieve.

After the initial free life coaching consultation with Josie I came away interested but slightly sceptical. However, I was at a stage in my life when I knew I was stuck going around in circles and needed to do something constructive to move me along.

I had the extreme good fortune of meeting Josie in September of 2001. I was looking for a life coach who could help me find my true potential and give me some lasting guidance on how to pursue that potential. I contacted Josie based on her career history and her assertion that she ‘gets results’. When we met, I knew Josie was going to be fabulous for me and it turns out I was right!

Josie worked with me for the last 12 weeks while I chased goals that I had previously failed achieving on my own. During that time Josie was unwaveringly committed to my success. This included being very honest with me, challenging my thinking and genuinely caring for me as an individual. Josie’s used innovation and invention to help me overcome obstacles and create solutions. There was not one thing we couldn’t sort out and I had thought I’d be a real challenge. Not for Josie.

Early in our weekly sessions I grew to trust Josie implicitly and this helped me to be very honest with her. My name is Maree Coombs and I would like to share with everyone the wonderful results that I achieved from my life coaching sessions with Josie Thomson. I was a very confused and indecisive case when I met Josie, not to mention the low confidence levels and belief in myself. Josie had a great intuition of just when and how to push my buttons to obtain the results that she felt I could achieve.
